The Hong Kong Grand Prix 22nd Round Table Pedal 2008 is a 24 hour Human Powered Vehicle charity race aiming to raise HK$1.4 million this year to help disadvantaged children. Because it is a charity event, costs are kept to a minimum, so the normal Cathay Pacific Team Uniform is a simple t-shirt. But this year many of the team members wanted to put a more professional touch to their look, and so turned to Champion System.

19 year old Rushlee Buchanan of New Zealand's Jazz Apple Cycling Team finished third at 47th Nevada City Classic in California. The Nevada City Classic is one of the most difficult circuits in the world. At the oxygen-starved altitude of 4000ft, the two kilometer circuit has a super steep 1km climb before plummeting down the finish straight at 50+ mph and then it's back up the climb again. Repeat the same lap after lap and you the get the idea why it's so tough. Champion System is a proud sponsor of the Jazz Apple Cycling Team.

The Hong Kong Pro Cycling Team recently competed in the Tour of Japan where current World Champion Kam Po Wong won the KOM jersey on stage 2 (above left picture). Kam Po Wong is a national hero in Asia and is known as the "Asian Tiger" and/or "Asian Dragon" to the Japanese cycling world. NHK, a Japanese television station, followed Kam Po Wong throughout the race with a special cameraman following his every move and airing footage each day on national TV.
